This 16 year old furnace and air conditioning system was starting to have issues due to a poor installation.  Because of this, condensation from the air conditioner was not able to drain properly and ran down inside the furnace, causing damage to the electronics.  Instead of putting costly repairs into a furnace that was nearing the end of the life expectancy, the customer decided to update the system with a new York furnace and Air conditioner.

This is a wood burning fireplace that was no longer used to burn wood.  The customer had a cheap electric log inside that was designed to mimic a real fire, however looked very fake.  We removed the electric log, cleaned the fireplace and chimney and installed a natural gas log kit.  This is a Hargrove kit wit Mountain Aspen Logs.

Not only was this a really old furnace, but the duct work was also inadequate.  The old furnace was a 120,000 BTU furnace. Despite being over-sized, because of the duct work, there were extremely hot rooms in the house, and on the other side extremely cold rooms.  The old furnace and old duct work was completely removed so we could start with a clean slate.  A heat load calculation determined we needed a 80,000 BTU furnace.  A new duct system was installed, designed to distribute heat more evenly through the house.  We also added air conditioning.  The new furnace is a Guardian, by York,  95.5 % efficient furnace.  The air conditioner is also a Guardian, 13 SEER unit.

The heat exchanger in this old boiler rusted out and it was no longer able to operate safely.  We removed the old boiler and water heater, and installed a NTI 97% efficient boiler with a Peerless Stainless Steel domestic water tank.  This system uses the boiler both for space heating as well as to heat the domestic hot water.  This high efficient system has cut the customer's propane heating bill in half!

This Tappan furnace and air conditioner was 45 years old!  It was time for this system to retire.  It had lasted more than double the 20 year life expectancy.  The new furnace is a Guardian 95% efficient.  The new air conditioner  is a Guardian 13 SEER.

In addition to servicing and installing heating and air conditioning equipment,  we also install various residential ventilation systems.  These are two examples of kitchen range hoods that were installed by Comfort Worx LLC.

When you want to add air conditioning to your home, many times, you can add it to your existing furnace.  However, if you have an older furnace, like this 25 year old Rheem, it just is not practical.  In the long run, it costs more to install a furnace and A/C system separately, than all at once as a system.  Also older furnaces are not designed to operate with the higher efficiency A/C systems nowadays.

This was a mini split change out. Unfortunately the previous installer did a very poor job and ended up ruining the unit in a short period of time. We replaced the unit with a Mitsubishi mini-split. Added the Line Hide to exterior line set, which makes it clean and presentable.

This old cast iron boiler had started to leak and needed replaced.  The Raypak Raytherm boiler proved to be an ideal replacement.  This boiler has a copper fin tube heat exchanger.  This allows for a lighter, more compact boiler.  In addition, we replaced the indirect water heater with a Raypak stainless steel tank.
